I used to use it, but now use Weather Master that’s available through izzyonddroid. It’s even more aesthetically pleasing imo and also let’s you choose from more sources.

Nice… But it doesn’t allow data sharing (to Gadgetbridge, for example). So it’s a no go for me, thanks!

Breezy weather also allows you to select weather data from multiple sources. It even let’s you select which type of data to get from which provider.

Whoa, thanks for this! I’ve been looking for something that isn’t pixel weather, but matches that aesthetic because I’m partial to it.

I use it because it doesn’t need location services i can set it manually. But still it’s good

I also use breezy, but i choose fdroid builds whenever possible. I appreciate the extra code monitoring/verification.

I download almost everything from F-Droid (I also use Droid-ify). I just use Obtainium for the 3 open source apps that aren’t on F-Droid.

I see some apps there that are also in F-Droid

Is there a big benefit to Obtanium for apps that are also released there? My understanding is that Obtanium doesn’t do any key verification of APKs, so I’ve only used it as a last resort

on Fdroid updates are slow ( you’ll get update after 2-3 days) Obtainium works with app verifier.

Only a couple, what are the benefits of having them through Obtanium over fdroid other than faster updates?

None. And F-Droid provides guarantees of trustworthiness that go above what getting it directly from the source can do.

How many of them are “manual”? I mean, ones you had to configure goes to scrape from whatever website they are hosted on, etc.

I only have eight apps, and even then only one “manual”. It’s the most important one though… 🦜

I have 20, but anytime an fdroid app updates I move it to obtainium. I don’t have time to review all in one go. But I’m sure the number will get to around 50 eventually when I’m done moving all f-Droid items to obtainium

I would rather compile the apps myself or trust fdroid than trust 50+ developers to have safe builds.
