Commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 people on Federal Death Row. Anyone know who the unlucky 3 are, and any ideas why they didn’t get their sentences commuted?
Good. Since 1976, 16 people have been executed by the federal government. 13 of those were during the last Trump administration. Apparently Trump, at Barr’s prompting, realized he could legally get people killed so he kicked the process into high gear. Trump has always had a hard-on for executions (See: Trump’s Central Park Five newspaper ad)
Aside from the morality, it’s cheaper. Trump being a good businessman should appreciate that…oh, right…maybe someone else good in business can explain it to him.
Abolish capital punishment!
No government should be in the business of executing thier citizans.
