This is my very first single player Minecraft world started in 2011 that I still play to this day. I started adding signs in 2013.
I’m gonna have to start one of these worlds. I’ve always wanted a time capsule in this game, but to no avail. This image is incredible. Keep it up!!!
Except for 2015. Fuck that year right?
Yeah I was a few days late in 2015 and 1 day late in 2018…
That is genuinely impressive to keep a world around that long.
I’ve lost far too many worlds to neglect.
I’ve lost so many worlds to so many careless hard drive reformats, but the worst offender was my most recent loss. I was about to go back to my hometown to transfer my old xbox360 worlds, but right before I could, the house burned down and the xbox was completely ruined.
Guess I wasn’t meant to find those worlds.
I empathize. As a result of past carelessness, I’ve taken to being much more aggressive with my backups.
Now I keep all my data on a separate partition, and once every few months I back it up onto 3 separate drives.
It’s a pain, but hopefully I will stop losing worlds.
I’m sorry about the house, I hope things are better now.
My greatest thanks. The house is gone, but my family has absolutely stellar insurance. All of the valuables i remember being in the house have been successfully recovered, aside from some replaceable electronics. They should be moving somewhere nice in the next couple months. Luckily, they’ve been desperate to move away, so this is a great opportunity for a fresh start. I’m looking forward to better days, and lots of wonderful Minecraft memories.
