Elysia stepped onto the gleaming platform, her heart aflutter with the promise of an adventure no one before her had ever experienced. She was about to breach the boundaries of the temporal realm and experience the fluidity of time itself. The euphoria she felt as the time machine whirred into motion was palpable, her eyes sparkling with dreams of the unexplored past and the mysterious future. Little did she know then, just how indelibly this voyage through the ages would transform her.
Years, centuries, millennia thrummed through Elysia’s very being, each passing epoch a torrent of torment and revelation. The forgotten despair of fallen civilizations, the suffocating gloom of lost eras, the relentless terrors of apocalyptic futures — each bore into her soul, brutally reshaping her innocence into a harrowed understanding of existence. The spirited adventurer, once buoyant with the thrill of exploration, was consumed by time, her optimism and awe eroded away, leaving behind an entity less a woman, and more a specter born of the temporal abyss.
The ages had not only etched lines of wisdom onto her countenance but had also bestowed upon her a formidable power. The woman who once stepped onto the time platform with stars in her eyes and dreams in her heart had been irrevocably transformed. Now, Elysia was a Time Shaper — a melancholic deity, a guardian of the grim past and the tormented future, her very essence forever interwoven with the merciless ebb and flow of time itself.
May I ask which AI-art generator you are using? I fail to find good ones online without a significant waiting time.
I’m using Stable Diffusion. While simple generators, such as Midjourney can produce pretty good results, your control over it is extremely limited.
For this, you have several options, but only a two ways actually give you 100% control. The first is to run it locally, but this requires a pretty good GPU. The second way is to use a GPU cloud service, such as runpod.io or vast.ai. I’ve used both, but recommend the former for beginners as it is more user friendly. You can rent an RTX 3090 for 0.44/hr, for example. I don’t recommend using the base model for Stable Diffusion because the results are pretty meh. Civitai.com is where you can find a basically unlimited amount of resources including models.
There are a few user interfaces for it, with the most used being Automatic1111. If you’re installing it locally to use with your own GPU, check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqXpAKVQDNU. If you want to try runpod, check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Tf5WBXyuOI and if you want an EXTREMELY in-depth video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN1vdGhjcRc.
It can be overwhelming at first, so I recommend checking out three of my favorite channels to get you started with generating images:
Wow, thanks for such a detailed answer. I think my GPU (RTX3050) is powerful enough that i try it locally, but with a busy week ahead, Ill have a closer look at the resources afterwards.
Have you tried https://tinybots.net/artbot/
Getting decent results, not too bad waiting times. IMO at least.
That looks pretty cool, with more features than I thought it would have. One thing I noticed is that it doesn’t seem to support embeddings and while it has a lot of models, it’s missing some really popular ones such as Rev Animated. Could be a good start for getting ones feet wet.
I love having context with these kinds of pictures, they really complete the experience.
Great work!Thanks!
