The poor waiter, lol
I don’t get the “distant ceiling” part, what is this referring to?
“I am trying to appear unintrusive because it is very uncomfortable that I am here while these two lovebirds are complimenting each other”
ahh, I see. I thought it would be something like “cloud 9” or being in heaven. But this is of course much closer to the situation.
I believe it’s supposed to mean “seeing stars.”
I am amused by the Web comic
It caused involuntary spasms expressing amusement in my vocal chords as well.
Nathan Pyle released a children’s book about playing hide and seek with a cat in his typical alien fashion. Highly recommended
I immediately show this composition of pixels to a fellow human to see if they will react the same way as me.
I really enjoy the way these aliens talk. It’s like listening to a British dude talking.
But I can’t get the human meaning of “tumbled head above feet”.
Head over heels for you. I’m trying to find where the strange world comics live that isn’t Instagram so I can link you, but they are there if you want to check out the rest of Nathan w Pyle’s work.
“Falling head over heels” is the “translation”: https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/dictionary/english/fall-head-over-heels
It’s a direct translation to the point where it’s misunderstood. “Head over heels” is implying you’ve rolled forward fully, like a somersault, since that puts your head above the back of your feet during the forward roll. But it’s not full on “above” your heels. And your head is always over your feet. So it doesn’t make much sense here.
