Damn all those American fireworks
I’m not kidding when I say I heard over 3 continuous hours of fireworks last night. Someone just shot some fireworks on our block (and I think directly outside our apartment) at 10:30 am today.
My area had 75 tons of illegal fireworks seized a week ago and we still had it non stop from 3pm to 1am last night, including very loud and very illegal m80s and such. If history serves, it will continue all month, and there will still be fireworks every holiday up to and including Mother’s Day.
Count your blessings it’s only morning after fireworks, haha.
Outdoors it reached an AQI of 300 post-fireworks (around midnight) in the suburban city I live in, bros fuggin cooked it
In Chicago, I started the night with a clear view of the Sears tower. Throughout the night it became more obscured until I couldn’t see any of it.
So glad I invested in an appropriately sized air purifier this year.
I get a heat and air quality warning every single day. Totally normal, nothing to see here.
Mine is 30 points higher than usual 😕 Someone should invent greener green fireworks https://scitechdaily.com/how-environmentally-friendly-are-green-fireworks/
Drone shows.
They’re pretty rad and are starting to become very common in high risk fire zones.
man this states barely got electricity and internet up here and people be trying to get drone shows lmao.
It’ll be another 5-10 years before its mainstream here
I get the sense that these things are kind of like traveling carnivals now. A company rolls in, unboxes their stuff, runs through preprogrammed stuff, then moves to the next event. It’s becoming pretty cheap and portable now.
A shocking amount of cities in my area had them this year. I had no idea it had become this easy and accessible now.
