Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came out in support of President Joe Biden amid growing calls in the Democratic Party for Biden to drop out of the 2024 race.
Harris would have access to the funds from their campaign, she’d essentially inherit Biden’s war chest. That’s part of why she’s the logical choice, she can actually use that money to hit the ground running in terms of spreading whatever message they need to get out in the event the candidate changes.
I think a lot of people are overthinking this. She’s supporting Biden because as of today the battle is “over”

This is going to be awful though, as Biden is going to get demolished in another debate, and it’ll look terrible if he refuses.
Pretty sure ballot rules and campaign finance laws are a big reason why it is too difficult to switch.
If democracy is at stake, and the threat of fascism is serious, they should change the rules and laws.
