Devoured a book in one day like I used to as a kid. So that’s cool.
Downside is it was I’m Glad My Mom Died and I related concerning amounts with it. Need to process that, I guess. Good book.
Also I’m an absolute fiend for burritos lately. I want nothing more than to order one but I’ve already had like… Three fast food burritos over the last 5 days and that’s not sustainable.
I fried my brain and triggered myself into orbit reading The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk, about C/PTSD and how our bodies physically store trauma. 10/10, but damn one better be in a good, scientific frame of mind because the case studies are heavy.
I’ve been meaning to read I’m Glad My Mom Died, how did you find it? (Besides the subject matter, of course).

It was a good book but gee it was hard to listen to (audio book). I felt so sorry for her.
Yeah. I had to put it down a few times and digest what I was reading. It’s a difficult read too.

Incredible book. Her writing is punchy and captivating. Almost hypnotic how it kept me interested.
I’ll put that on my list of things to look at. I just got an ereader and have lots of reading to catch up!
