I tried so hard to download the sources to build my own stuff but after weeks of downloading and failing, continuing, and more… I got nowhere near downloading all the required files…
(And yes I did the recommendations for people with bad internet)
Not to mention how many times I had to repair the filesystem after power-offs (it’s impossible to have consistent electricity even for 12h in some places in the world)… (Each repair takes about an hour because of the amount of files los source has)

You did great by trying! Have you ever tried different ROMs? I for my part am very happy with /e/ OS.
I would love to try but is it smaller and easier to download compared to los source?
