It’s not though. It’s the same guy who has been leading the SSG (HTS’s civilian government project) in Idlib. It seems HTS is mostly running the show here, which admittedly doesn’t make it clear what the other groups have to say about it.
That’s the SNA, which is the other major player in Syria. They’re supposed to have been involved in the offensive but I’m not hearing much about them getting involved in Damascus politics.
I mean yeah but they named a transition prime minister so they’ve at least started doing the whole government thing.
