I would never say, “Muslims experiencing a rise in violent Islamophobia are getting a taste of what it’s like to be Jewish in America.” That is patronizing, dismissive, and infantilizing. I would never say, “African Americans experiencing police violence are getting a taste of what it’s like to be Latin American in this country.”
If you can’t see why that’s a terrible thing to say from a multimillion-dollar platform, I’m not sure what more to say. The toxic dynamic of someone who has never experienced racial or religious discrimination speaking to an international audience on behalf of vulnerable groups this carelessly is unacceptable.

But you would say that she is justifying a rise in anti semitism because she is being patronizing, dismissive and infantalizing?
