Sherlock Holmes on BBC has 3 episodes each season. With about 2 years waiting between seasons
Seriously? That sucks.
They we’re 3 outstanding episodes. Not 10 fillers and 3 good ones.
At least in the earlier seasons.
I think it fell off very heavily, which sucks, because now I also don’t want to rewatch the awesome early seasons.
Outstanding my ass. They literally updated definitions of queerbaiting after that series.
They we are?
Found out with Luther here. I was like, “that’s it?!”
The episodes have been getting longer as the seasons get shorter, tho. I think it’s much more likely we get something like 3 90-minute episodes per season (like Sherlock, which was mostly fantastic).
How about just one 90-120 minute episode? We might have to come up with a new name for them. /s
Ever hear of British sitcoms?
Six episodes and sixty percent of the same actors always.
I’m watching The Office if that counts.
You mean mini series?
Man, I hope so. I’ll take 10 we’ll written episodes over 24 with 10 that are mediocre and 4 that are just filler
Are you suggesting that they are trending towards becoming movies?
Attack on Titan is already 2 steps ahead of you with 1-episode specials
Why do you say it like it’s a bad thing? 😅
I miss the old twenty-something episode seasons… these days it costs twice as much for a third of the content. Take The X-Files for example, the monster of the week eps were what kept me watching… the main alien arc was actually kinda sloppy, and all the satanic cult stuff I just sorta tolerated.
