Don’t they have anything better to do when losing a war?
Apparently that very limited ammunition they have is best spent shelling civilians.
The OG Nazis used a considerable chunk of their limited resources toward the end of the war on building Vergeltungswaffen, literally revenge weapons. These had very little military benefit and were mainly intended to terrorize the enemy civilian population. It’s standard fascist MO to do this shit when they lose a war.
The V2 program cost about $500 million - adjusting for Nazi Germany’s smaller economy, it took just a barely smaller fraction of their industrial output than the Manhattan project did for the US. Each individual rocket cost more than a Me-262, a cutting-edge jet fighter (~100,000 RM vs 87,400 RM). The program used up one third of Germany’s fuel alcohol production, each rocket requiring thirty tonnes of potatoes to distil the methanol - and due to a lack of explosives, some had warheads filled with concrete instead. When it was clear their conventional forces were being overwhelmed, the Nazis poured even more resources into it, diverting them from fighter and tank production just to crank out a few more wunderwaffen.
This is the vaunted ‘fascist efficiency’.
And the me262 was a good interceptor(when it was working and not falling apart because it was made by slaves). You know, the thing you really want to have when bomber planes are bombing the shit out of you?
That gave me a sudden thought, so I went back and checked (I’m just using the wikipedia pages for the V2 and Me-262) - in total, there were 1430 262s built, but there were over 3000 V-2s.
They could have tripled their jet interceptor force, something the allies had no answer to (other than just winning the ground war - it wouldn’t have turned the tide, but still), but instead they made a strategically insignificant number of Special Expensive Bombs and spent basically all of them on random civilians.

There might be a reason for that - it could be possible that they are trying to provoke a response from the Russian AF to reignite the discourse in Western mainstream propaganda outlets.
I doubt this could actually work at this point, considering the fact that American puppeteers and their EU vassals are starting to admit that “project Ukraine” is going down fast, and the same propaganda outlets have been grooming the public for another Afghanistan-like defeat. Hell, they are now willing to openly admit it was Ukraine who shelled Donetsk, again.
It’s possible, but they have been doing this stuff for a while and Russia never reacts. The fact that mainstream western media is now openly reporting on this is probably the most notable aspect of the whole thing. I completely agree that they’re trying to shift the narrative now and throw their proxy under the bus.

I’m not bringing this up with the lib I work with; he’s actually defended indiscriminate shelling of Donetsk, trying to claim that perhaps the people in Donetsk were rioting.
EDIT: I also explained to him that Ukraine wants the land, but they don’t want the people, and he saw nothing wrong with that, stating that if that was the case, the ethnic Russians should just leave. I hate what’s happening to people’s grasp on right and wrong today.

Why doesn’t the right to self determination extend to Donetsk?
Weird how that works isn’t it, the same people who can’t shut up about Taiwan are all of a sudden against separatism when it comes to Donetsk. It’s as if what they actually care about is expanding western sphere of influence as opposed to democracy or self determination.
Most Liberals genuinely don’t think Donetsk exists or that it’s only Russian soldiers camping out there.
The fact that the majority of the population there is ethnic Russian is only evidence that they’re all born KGB sleepers in Putin’s multi-generational plot to corrupt the purity of Ukranian blood.
The liberal conception of rights prioritizes property ownership over human life, so the Kiev regime has a “right” to the land it wants, but the people living there don’t have a right to be alive.

I don’t know why but the language used in this article feels almost… dismissive. I might be overthinking it, though.

They’re completley losing Avdiivka and place from where they bombed people for almost 10 years, they’re doing his on purpose before they withdraw once and for all, killing civilians is only thing they can do.
And they did it in the morning when it’s the busiest time. Today, Ukrainian soldiers dropped an explosive from a drone in the chimney of a house, killing an elderly couple inside. Ukraine is a terrorist state, supported and armed by the west.
