I ended up watching that right after, and now I’m watching a 58 minute video of Adam trying to make a display for a glass-blown ‘Boy’s Surface’.
TIL wtf a Boy’s Surface is and my head hurts from trying to understand how an ‘inverted sphere’ works.

Solid design, elegant but I can’t imagine how many problems he had implementing it, especially with that lawn mower getting air and cooling, but it just works.
I’m sure it was a huge benefit that it only needed to run for a max of 3 minutes, and practically speaking that was even less. Apparently it just absolutely demolished every other gen 1 battlebot it went up against.
