and one for football as well? :)
An afl community already exists
There’s already !aleague@aussie.zone, which even though it’s technically about the domestic league, I suspect will end up being the home for discussion of soccer more generally.
Or you could go and find a soccer community elsewhere on Lemmy, like !soccer@lemmy.ml or !football@lemmy.world (with a name that is obviously wrong in the Australian context, but is definitely about soccer and not what Australians would call football—or what Americans would call football).
Not sure why football needs to be in Aussie zone it’s not specific to Australia.
Our top league the A league is probably comparable to EFL league 2, no footballer worth their salt aspires to play in Australia.
