e.g., look at how George Lucas treated Star Wars (even before Disney bought it, though notably he’s the one who sold it to them) and what happened to that franchise, whereas Gene Roddenberry creator of Star Trek was a god among men, leaving an enduring legacy long after he died.
i.e. it’s not the source, it’s the message that is worthwhile (yes that’s also there too - Isaiah 55:11:-P).
