What about other Instances like lemmy.world, or beehaw, or even this one, I don’t think these ones exactly agree with China’s philosophy, actually funnily enough join-lemmy.org isn’t blocked either.
I’m guessing China is pretty far behind the curve when it comes to Internet Security and monitoring, than we give them credit for.
They definitely didn’t, I figure the Fediverse is going to be very hard for them in the future since these servers are all (mostly) connected (and exist outside of china).

Curiously, most common Lemmy sites and even Reddit are not blocked.
Some parts of it are blocked, to the point where it’s not functional and requires a VPN to properly work.
Lemmy.ml the Dev’s Instance is blocked though.
Lemmygrad is also the dev’s instance.
Yeah, I wonder why they blocked lemmy.ml and hexbear.net but not lemmygrad.ml and also plenty of other general purpose lemmy instances.
Lemmygrad is designed for Chinese users to access – Which ironically goes against the Lemmy developer’s whole “user privacy and freedom” shtick.
