It should be the other way around. Oh you suck so bad you had to pay.
That’s kinda how it used to be.
But I guess there’s enough idiots now defending microtransactions with such clever takes like “nobody forces you to buy those!”It’s FOR SURE how it used to be.
Source: was that bully.
Yeah, seriously, what kind of loser pays someone to do better in a game they play for fun?
Fuck Fortnite.
Seriously, I got my niece the battle pass, thinking cool lots of skins she can unlock. Nope, she wants v bucks for every holiday and her birthday to collect every single “limited time” skin. It’s nuts how it highjacks their dopamine to funnel money to Epic.
Fortnite probably has the fairest monitization in all games with the fairest battle pass you can unlock for free after a couple seasons or buy once and then get enough currency to always be able to buy the new battle pass with it.
Or you can just sell the game and release modding tool like they use to with Unreal Tournament.
I wouldn’t know anything about the specifics of how the microtransactions work. I never touch any game with them.
Kids are bullied for practically anything.
I’m an adult and my nephew called me a “default” a couple years back because I had downloaded fortnite to give it a shot and had the default skin.
I still haven’t recovered.
Off topic I know, but the kid in the thumbnail has such beautiful hair! Even I want blue hair like that lol
Yeah, the color is nice but the cut is atrocious.
I was thinking that they’d get bullied to shit because of that hair
Pay to win but irl
This has been going on forever.
Non-story. When I was a kid I got bullied for not have Izods, and later, Polos. I didn’t have a Swatch or Vans until long after it was cool.
Kids are going to find any reason they can to bully others who are perceived to be on a lower socioeconomic level. My Silent Gen parents were far from poor, probably worth more than 90% of the other families, but we didn’t spend money on status symbols, so I was perceived as poor.
And BTW kids, bullying in my day meant an ass beating in the hall, in front of teachers. Not someone saying a mean thing on social media. (I admit, I can see many ways that would actually be worse.)
