I really want to do this at some point in my life. The idea of just getting some land out in the middle of nowhere, no pollution, no annoying city people, no bills to pay, no news to stress about. Just peace and quiet
I live about as close to the middle of nowhere as is reasonable for most people. You cannot escape any of that stuff, only reduce your exposure.
Especially people. It’s not “city people” who are annoying, but people in general. I don’t care who you are or where you live, you will always find someone annoying. Also, there is no city person so annoying as the one transplanting themselves to the middle of nowhere. :)

You are probably more social than you think. It can get very lonely in the hills.
