Anyone stepping into a union job when the union is on strike is a scab. Doesn’t matter whether they’re part of the union or not.
Almost all scabs are people not in a union. That is in fact the point.
I thought you have to be in the union to scab, no? But of course scabbing gets you kicked from the union.
Nope, a scab is anyone who crosses a picket line, and most of the time that’s someone not in the union.
