Here’s a quick FAQ, which will be slowly expanded on in the future.

Q. How can I join the Discord server?

Q. Where can I reach the Community Mods?

A. If you have questions and concerns, preferably reach us via the discord server above. The Lemmy messaging system is currently not the best right now, but I am sure it’ll get better with time.

Q. Where can I get Bionicle pieces and/or sets?

A. Bricklink, Brickowl, Ebay, and Craigslist(or local equivalent) are good places to look.

Q. Where can I find a specific piece?

A. All Lego pieces(save a few, insubstantial number) have ID numbers on them. Look for that number, and search for it on sites like Bricklink.

Q. How much is my set/mask worth?

A. Check with Bricklink, or join our discord. We have some collectors who could probably help you with this if you need.

Q. What are some digital designers I can use to build and design MOCs?

A. Lego’s LDD, or Lego Digital Designer is a common and popular one, but does not have much variety of Bionicle parts. Stud.io, found on Bricklink, is a newer option that would be better recommended to Bionicle fans.

How do flairs work?

So far Lemmy doesn’t have conventional flairs like reddit had, but in place of those, all posts must have their intended flair attached via bracketed text before your title. The current brackets are:

[SPOILERS] - For posts that contain material from recent or upcoming media releases, see the rules for more information about spoilers.

[ART] - Fan art and development concept art from the Matoran universe.

[COLLECTION] - To display your entire collection.

[MOC] - My Own Creation: fan-created builds.

[DISCUSSION] - To discuss any subject that is Lego or Bionicle related.

[LORE] - Videos, articles or discussions about the Matoran lore.

[RUMOR] - For any unconfirmed info.

[NEWS] - Official, certified news

[CONTEST] - Any Bionicle related contests, like the Duckbricks Fanon contests or the Spherus Discord contests.

[OTHER] - To discuss any subject.

[META] - To talk about the sub itself.

[MODPOST] - Posts about the sub itself from the moderators.

Comments & Submissions

While the original rules still stand, due to the incidents here, we have zero tolerance for transphobia, homophobia, racism, and sexism.

Do not use slurs of any kind. Depending on the severity, punishment may result in a ban with no warning.

Do not spam.

No Lazy AI Content.

Do not be toxic.

No spoilers. (Movies, television, books, etc). Anything released in the past 2 months or to be released within 2 weeks counts. Using spoiler tags is allowed for any and all spoilers.

Advertising must not be more than 20% of your post history. You get one warning.

Memes are now only allowed on Mondays.

Guidelines and Notes

All rules are subject to moderator discretion. If you have an issue with any moderator action, please message the mods and we will discuss it.

The only mandatory stipulations on language are that no slurs are used. This means that curse words are allowed. However, please be aware that Bionicle is marketed towards children, and is a Lego toy. Swearing should not be unnecessary or directed towards any user(s).

If a Lego Ideas entry has been gaining traction, there will be a single post made for it, and all others will be removed until either the Ideas entry dies, or reaches its goal, at which time either the OP can make a celebratory post, or a staff member will if the OP does not appear to have a reddit account.

All art, images of MOCs, etc, must be your own, or include the author’s name in the title. Source must be listed in the comments.

More rules may be added, revised, or removed at future dates. If you do something egregious that isn’t against any current rules, it may still be removed and you may be penalized.
