Oh man, my soldering iron died, and I need another soldering iron to repair, dug out my cheap kicker iron, guess what? Also non functional, another trip to jaycar! 2 times in a week and had not been into one for years and years before this week.
Jaycar is such a disappointing place now. Just gadgets for the most part, and a tiny selection of electronics parts that are almost always the crappiest and cheapest versions possible.
I buy most stuff I need from RS, Mouser, Element14, and DigiKey now.
Yeah it really is kinda sad compared to how it used to be, while I was getting my emergency iron, I got a plug and socket terminal block screw header thing, even though got some coming… Thing was not good let’s put it that way :(
