As long as the work is useful towards society and as longs as your livelihood doesn’t depends on you working, I don’t think anyone would hate working. Sadly we live in a world in which most work only exists in generating a profit for a select few.
All the houses is Belgium could be renovated so that they would have the best specs when it comes to environmental impact. The roads could be fixed. New natural parks could be made, etc. Useful things. Instead we got people selling overpriced internet subscriptions for 8+ hours a day.

Exactly, people like being productive, the issue is with having autonomy and purpose.
