Donald Trump has had plenty to say since his hush money trial conviction last week. What he hasn’t done is utter any variation of the words that might benefit him most come sentencing time next month: “I’m sorry.”
I once again don’t think any conviction, from any case, in any jurisdiction, ever, will see Trump spend a single day in local, state, or federal lockup (again because of the secret service protection he’s entitled to)
It’s enticing schadenfreude imagining orange hitler in the box, but practically, i don’t see anything other than home confinement, which isn’t nothing, but it’s really really close to nothing
