World’s biggest Monster Hunter fan
He’s just doing some colon cleansing!
That octopus monster looks freaky! I wonder if it’s gonna be an elder dragon like nakarkos or if it’s a new classification?
Speaking of classifications, that’s two bird based monsters that are classified as brute wyvern instead of bird wyvern now! I get it, they use the brute wyvern frame rather than the raptor frame, but it’s still a little funny.
right, but if you do that I think it’s on you to explain why you have that many hours and yet are still leaving a negative review. This comic is specifically parodying the people who don’t provide that context and thus leave it open to interpretation
I was actually really disappointed when I got my prescription, because I went home and tried it, and I felt nothing. From how other people describe it, I thought the clouds were gonna clear, the angels were gonna sing, and I would be reborn a new person. I genuinely thought the medicine wasn’t doing anything.
Anyways I then proceeded to play a colony sim for 12 hours straight without getting up or getting distracted even once so I think the medicine did something lmao
No problem, anything to help a fellow blender artist! While there’s a very good reason blender does images like that, it’s admittedly very unintuitive and could definitely use some updates to make it clearer.
Texture painting (and any images in general) are saved as separate files in blender by default! They’re not saved as part of your .blend file. You can press alt+s while your mouse is in the image viewer (or just click the image dropdown menu at the top of the image viewer, which should have an asterisk if your image is unsaved) to save the image.
Alternatively, you CAN pack the images into the blend file! Under the file menu in the top left, select external data > pack resources. Then, whenever you save your blend file it should ask if you want to save the image too. note: you DO need to have saved a separate copy of the image first for this to work, but you do NOT need to keep the separate copy after you’ve packed the file.
Here we go, this was my main in sunbreak. Doesn’t look like they brought back the ridiculously overpowered instablock, but that’s probably for the best lmao. I’m loving all the new shield moves I’m seeing though!
looks like it might be a new spider monster or something, absolutely gorgeous!
impossible. they don’t call him mancubus for no reason 🥵
supposedly there’s some super being that absorbs emotions, and when it absorbs extremely strong emotions it generates a new being to contain those emotions. dark matter was the result of it absorbing hate, while kirby was the result of it absorbing love.
staring at this image trying to figure out the difference between deuteranomaly and normal vision before I remembered I’m an idiot
ok but as a colourblind person those traffic lights are SO much better damn
then again maybe someone who is part blue colourblind might feel differently
nah this is hella good. we cannot forget that the people we are arguing with are also people. we still need to argue with them and fight against them when they try to take our rights but the whole time we still gotta remember they are people just like us. and that’s gonna make us feel like shit about it sometimes when we’re getting pissed at other people, especially when they’re our community members, but that’s just a reminder that we have empathy and that we are able to care about our fellow man.
I remember at some point hearing a therapist say something along the lines of “I’ve been in hundreds of rough situations. I’ve seen hundreds of cases of abuse and trauma, and the day I start feeling numb towards them is the day I stop being a good therapist.” that’s hella paraphrased of course but I think it gets the point across that sometimes you gotta feel like shit because that lets you know you’ve still got a conscience working in there somewhere.
expanding a bit on this point, one thing we have to remember is that these people do not go away if we get our way. these people still need to be accounted for in whatever new world we want to make, and if you want the same world as I do, where everyone is treated with respect and cared for, then you also gotta be ready to treat these people with respect and care for them. That doesn’t mean you gotta tolerate them when they’re being an intolerant shithead but it does mean that the whole time you’re throwing their shitty ideas out the door you’re still treating them like a human being. remember that dehumanization is nazi shit and we wanna stay far away from that.
I guess I also got a little rambley here but fuck it the internet is for letting your thoughts out whether anyone’s gonna read them or not so I say let it flow
damn that’s crazy to know. It’s wild how stuff like this is possible, I guess that means coyotes and dogs are basically the same animal already.
the reason all domestic dogs are canis familiaris is because they’re all the same species. They can all have non-sterile babies with each other, which is the most commonly accepted definition of a species. A domesticated coyote would still be its own species and get its own scientific name because it would not be able to breed with dogs, at the very least without having a sterile baby.
I’m not worried at all about the wounding. Tenderizing sucked because it was this mandatory chore you had to do every few minutes. “Oh, the part isn’t tenderized anymore, time to pull out the clutch claw again.”
The wound mechanic is a much more natural reward for good gameplay. If you hit the monster in the same location enough you get a chance to do some massive damage. That’s a really nice way to incentivize players to focus on a single part. Plus they get to add a bunch of wicked cool new attacks to capitalize on the wounds!
I just think the shiny red glow on parts looks silly in such an otherwise hyper detailed artstyle lol, that’s honestly my only complaint with the whole thing
right, ideal use case would be a spear brace where the mount can stop any charging enemies while the halfling is in ideal position to crossbow those who get too close
of the three new videos this was the one that mattered. it’s great to get a good explanation of focus mode, and to finally see some new weapons! I still don’t know how I feel about the wound highlighting (it looks kinda goofy to me) but it’s a lot better than what I expected it to be (a bunch of red scoutflies flying around a part kind of like the qurio cores in sunbreak)
Played the early access on ps5, it ran shockingly well, even if the graphics had to take a serious hit on performance mode. I’m cautiously optimistic for the pc performance!
Ttust me, you’re all in for a treat! The combat feels soooo nice, a fantastic mix between the “cinematic” combat from world and the fluidity from rise! Plus of course it’s just nice to have more monster hunter at all.
