The message from the police is “fuck you if I don’t get my way” as the authoritarian budget is finally becoming unsustainable and requires cuts. They quit in protest, thinking the spike in crime from their absence will stoke public outcry to reinstate the original budget. When this won’t work as they imagined, as a town of just 1000 is actually rather uneventful, they will perpetrate the crimes they believe they are needed for, like theft and vandalism.

Either way, quitting a public safety job en masse in protest is telling the community that they can go fuck themselves. They even told others who to pout to because the police tantrum isn’t working. Lazy, callous authoritarians.

They can’t imagine anything for themselves but the privilege of being the survivor watching their enemies plummet from windows, never imagining that they are being used and will be the second one thrown out.

I love this game. It is in the same vein as Townscaper or Tiny Glade, where the object is to build a town without being limited by any statistics like money or happiness - just build something that you like. The recent update for adding little flying cars to travel through between the skyscrapers has reinvigorated my city building enjoyment.

Mods have always been free, a labor of love from the community for the community. Fuck paying for mods. I don’t give a fuck if the modders get paid - they mod because they love the game and want to participate in their own way. An immortal would easily lose track of time after just two human lifetimes, causing an immortal to suffer from dementia-like symptoms where they expect one date but find themselves habitually late. And since time doesn’t mean the same thing as us to an immortal, they would eventually become disconnected from the world around them and be unable to reintegrate. They wouldn’t be able to maintain friendships, relationships, mortgages, payments, etc. They would be surrounded by people but forever alone.

To compete would mean each competitor grows too as the technology and resources are cutting edge, building a solid foundation for future developments. We have to compete because of the potential impactful battery and electric motor technology will have in future.

Ford is seeing where they need to be to compete, recognizing they aren’t there, and is wooing a business partner to help share technology. They may also just import and rebadge the cars and want to help spread the idea that Chinese cars are a hidden luxury so no one feels like Ford is importing cheap crap.

They do both. Russia uses as many different approaches as they can to help their mark ignore one and bond with another. It’s why they use democrats like Tulsi Gabbard to get leftist voters as well as third party candidates and right wing candidates too. Their goal is to divide people into inaction, which is just as good as ignoring or approval.
