So I’m switching to TempleOS.
Just a nerd who migrated from kbin(dot)social.
So I’m switching to TempleOS.
I’d love to go somewhere genuinely warm right now. Normally it’s okay though.
Who did the most? I’d say probably the USSR by numbers. The US was a huge driver of the war effort, and used a blend of hard and soft power to push. The UK and (Free) France were necessary resistance and emblematic of the other western efforts. The Battle of Britain can’t be understated, they were a huge stopping block. ANZAC forces weren’t as prevalent in WW2 as they were in WW1 - they weren’t the leading force, but they were present and earned every ounce of respect. In theory, Japan could even be on here as a catalyst - even though they were allied to the Nazis and did many horrifying things, had it not been for Pearl Harbor, the US wouldn’t have gotten involved.
But really I think it is either the USSR or the USA, with the UK a distant but necessary third.
No such thing as a free beer, no more than there’s a free lunch.
Does the EFF call it Free?
She didn’t look bad either.
Yes, we know. Goods that are made in America by Americans are expensive. And if they mean that they’re going to be affected by the import tariffs, then I’ll be just as happy not to buy as much from Costco, just the same as I’ll be doing at Wal-Mart, Target, or any other stores that refuse to support quality American businesses in favor of cheap foreign stuff.
I say they should take it back. I’ve never met a blonde who looked bad in black.
The regulation is there, it’s the enforcement that’s the problem. We don’t need lawmakers, we need cops.
Unironically, I’d have bought the Shiva one as a display piece. Then again, I would probably buy merch of any FF8 GF, even Boko. I like FF8.
For the same reason they inform themselves already to be part of an open-source project? Besides most of the focus they need to have is making the best possible browser with the most W3C-compliant feature set.
Oh no, each claim is a new loan application. You pay in your premium to have the right to apply.
Yup, thank you for sharing the link!
We should stop calling it “insurance”, it doesn’t ensure anything. We should call it what it is - a protection racket. Either that, or we could refer to it as “medical loans” - of course, it’s all paid in advance, in many installments. Oh wait. That’s just defining a protection racket again, isn’t it?
That’s why you have to request the documentation and proof of specialty to confirm whether they’re acting out of scope.
Most social media has a leftward bias. Avoiding politics in any form of social media now is like trying to avoid plankton in ocean water - you might be able to do it, but you’ll need a really tight filter.
Fair enough, but I personally don’t like unverified QR codes. I’ve had experiences with QR stuff and I’ve switched over to using an entirely offline program to decode them because of it.
Hasn’t been my experience, but I’m mostly in a sphere of scientists, creatives, and memes. A couple art museums post some great stuff too.
I don’t remember MSN Messenger being able to handle IRC chats. If it had, I wouldn’t have needed an IRC client. But Threads won’t drown out other voices, they’ll just add voices to the conversation. There’s content on Threads that’s worth following, and I don’t think it’s valuable to lose that because of a few engagement farms that you can either personally block or defederate.
I miss 3.5, and I hate the current Chrome-lite design. I want tabs underneath my address bar.
