There might be a few, but the best scenario is people can even see valid points they can use against real life Trump supporters or supporters on other platforms.
Trumps tariffs
Just want to see someone defend them or try to defend them is all.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'54·12 days agoWhat year did that take place?
Edit: One would assume your claim about Trump inviting a Palestinian on stage is easily verifiable yet I cannot find any source. The only source I can find of Trump even talking with a Palestinian is when he invited Abbas to the Whitehouse in 2017, where Trump stated he could go either way with a two state or one state solution but nothing was guaranteed. So please continue and share what evidence you have or claim to have.
Edit edit: For anyone else looking in on this, the above is sole reason to verify all information or you might look like a fool or foreign actor sowing misinformation like the commenter above.
Is there anyone brave enough to debate where they are for these tariffs against me?
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'54·12 days agoSo lets play this out, both parties was the same with Gaza yes?
Edit: If you are afraid to see how failed your logic is then by all means don’t answer.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'75·12 days agoSo your argument is that the Democrats was not perfect and in the same arena was Trump throwing out fascist rhetoric and your end conclusion is to not vote because the Democrats was not perfect? I just want to make sure I understand yours as well as the non-voters logic. Because for those actually paying attention this was a pretty easy choice.
Edit: Help me understand why the blame gets passed onto the Democratic party entirely when the power to have stopped this was with the voters that decided to not vote.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'114·12 days agoI would have voted for shit on a wall before I would have allowed the chance of allowing Trump get in considering his rhetoric was nazi lite.
How about you all reflect on the fact that democracy only survives if you participate to protect it.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'1111·12 days agoNah, I blame those that did not vote. Given how load Trumps campaign was in their rhetoric means if you did not vote at all is just as good as voting for him. Democrats messaging my ass, atop blaming others when the non-voters need to look at themselves and ask themselves why did they allow this to happen when it was well within their power and right to stop it.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Biden says damage Trump has done to Social Security is 'breathtaking'1417·12 days agoThis comment section is truly something else, when all your rights are stripped away and the US descends further into fascism are you going to continue to blame the Democrats or realise the choice to vote against Trump was also an option?
Tough decision I know vote for the status quo where everyone was still relatively comfortable and all had rights or not vote and let the fascists in and watch all your rights get stripped.
Edit: The leopards are feasting on those that voted for Trump as well as those that did not vote at all.

One party deserves nothing but scorn and opposition.51·13 days agoI guess from my perspective you still realised they were still the lesser of two evils. You are right the system is fucked and the Democrats did not do enough to change the status quo particularly in terms of correcting the wealth disparity we see now.
Let’s hope the US actually have a chance at another fair election with a candidate you deserve because as it looks right now everyday the current fascist regime that is Trump administration moves towards a future where you may not get that chance.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto Australia@aussie.zone•The independents in the 2025 election, their electorate, and what they stand forEnglish10·13 days agoRemember to do your research in the independent’s. Articles like this is a good introduction to them but obviously does not cover on all their views. Some of those other views can be wildly against what you want to see in other areas of our society.
Edit: Yes this feels like a redundant thing to say but just look at what happened in the US and how their non-voters fell asleep at the wheel, although our voting is mandatory we still need to do our due diligence if we want to ensure we don’t elect a basket case.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•JUST IN: US Consumer Sentiment Plummets to Second-Lowest Level in Over 75 Years1·13 days agoIn case you did not notice but right wing fascism is already there in the US. It’s too late for you guys, the only thing that can stop this is the non-voters losing more rights until they are personally affected, then they will wake up and realise their mistake. The only question that remains is will it be too late.
The US is a cautionary tale for the rest of the world that in order to have a democracy you have to participate and pay attention in order to preserve it.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•JUST IN: US Consumer Sentiment Plummets to Second-Lowest Level in Over 75 Years1·13 days agoI mean yeah once again thats your view point. I still stand by the fact that the non-voters in the US fell asleep at the wheel. Like I have said a few times before when the rights messaging leading up to election was as blatantly fascist and racist then what is currently happening in the US is hugely because of the non-voters fault and they need to take blame for their inaction in allowing it to happen.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•JUST IN: US Consumer Sentiment Plummets to Second-Lowest Level in Over 75 Years1·13 days agoIt’s been nice sharing the differing views. Clearly a case of you believe one things and I another. Have a great day. Btw being an Australian means I am not suffering from this but I am interested in what caused it to protect against it our end. Thankfully our mandatory voting hopefully means the majority sees sense but wish us luck anyway.

If an actual study was performed looking at the hiring processes and the end result of alot of companies then that would be evidence. Also if there was a rise in discrimination law suits in situations where DEI was a determining factor would even be evidence.
What you said was basically was “Someone said it exists so it must”.
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Harvard Announces It Will Defy Trump Order to Cut DEI Programs and Expel Pro-Palestinian Protestors451·14 days agoYou have the wrong end of the stick when it comes to DEI, like so many others you have just gobbled up the view points of the right propaganda machine. But let me ask one thing, where is the evidence os all this supposed discrimination that took place because of DEI?
PointyReality@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•JUST IN: US Consumer Sentiment Plummets to Second-Lowest Level in Over 75 Years1·14 days agoMy main point was non-voters using self-reflection and realise they fucked up this time around, this is not me just trying to pass the buck as you and so many others are doing to the Democratic party. Sure I will agree the Democratic party was not perfect and all they would have done was continue the status quo. But as I stated earlier when a simple Pro’s and Con’s activity one would realise that the the status quo would have been better then the fascist BS and all the rights you have lost and are losing that is currently happening now.
Like I said I have seen better self reflection from those that once supported Trump than those that seemingly want to try and pass the blame entirely on the Democratic party without acknowledging their own failures.
You still fail to offer any points that can sway my mind from this.
Well I had declared me being against them but I feel like you have waded into something that you might not have realised, so I am happy for you to take the position of against and I for if you prefer?
