“This Xiaomi car… is fantastic. They sell ten thousand, twenty thousand a month,” Farley said. “I don’t like talking about the competition much, but we flew [an SU7] from Shanghai to Chicago and I’ve been driving it for six months now, and I don’t want to give it up.”
Farley didn’t mention which version of the SU7 he imported, but it’s normal for automakers to test out their competitors’ vehicles to better understand what they’re up against.
Xiaomi doesn’t sell cars in America, and even if you went the “I’ll just bring one here” route the CEO did, there’s ~100% tariffs on them, so I’d bet he doesn’t see them as a competitor at this time and is just being somewhat candid.
At least everyone in this call is professional enough to be off casket.
Gave it a shot this weekend after seeing a piece about it on Friday. Generally I thought it was OK. The match making kind of sucks and it took me a number of “quick play” attempts until I was actually able to play.
Gameplay was fun, if not a bit frustrating. I got completely smoked by a couple of people and it felt like they had deep knowledge of the maps which was tough to counter.
All in all, for the price, it’s worth a pickup.
So wrong. I liked seeing your picture of the slug, I don’t see many slugs or snails around here at all. Thanks for sharing
They are really only good to eat when young. Older ones are riddled with parasites and very tough/gamey I hear.
I love the leak in the other room. Get ready to reset the counter folks!
It’s going well
Thanks for continuing to post Shel Silverstein. My mom used to read “where the sidewalk ends” to me when I was younger and I always loved it.
I found this particularly funny. It wasn’t like a funny accidental thing. Dude was trying to mate with the bird.
In September 2004, Walnut arrived at NZCBI’s Virginia campus, where scientists regularly breed cranes that have behavioral or physical limitations by using assisted reproduction techniques, including artificial insemination. By observing and mimicking how NZCBI’s male white-naped cranes interacted with their mates during breeding season, bird keeper Chris Crowe gained Walnut’s elusive trust. He pair-bonded with her by flapping his arms in a manner similar to the species’ unison dance, offered her nesting materials and brought her food. Once she was receptive to breeding, Crowe was able to use sperm collected from a male crane to artificially inseminate Walnut without the need for physical restraint
They had 8 chicks together.
Will it? That’s pretty cool.
I’ve noticed in non American countries like Australia, you don’t pet the cat, you pat the cat. Hardly ever how it’s phrased in America though.
Doesn’t look like it, and Helium doesn’t use cell service, it’s all LoRa based.
I would have bet money that Texas Dip involved cheese, but I guess not.
I mean, isn’t that the point?
There’s so many brands and types of NA sparkling drinks out there. Those brands are great ones (love a Black Cherry Waterloo), but I’d also recommend things like Spindrift, which is sparkling water with a little bit of fruit juice.
If you aren’t from America, your best bet is to go to the grocery store and walk around the aisles with soda or juice. You’ll find a ton of interesting drinks there. Most alcohol will be in a different (and clearly marked) part of the store.
The things Mattel gets into…
I immediately thought she was teaching the dog to write.
I’ve literally never had it with fries. Perhaps obvious, but it’s my go to for any kind of Asian noodle or fried rice.
My Stardew Valley spouse is very happy with me I’ll have you know.
