  • You could turn the dialogue audio off, I’d hope there’s a slider. If you’re on PC there’s actually a goddamn mod where you can press a button to skip the currently playing line of dialogue.

I agree, though, there’s a lot of just waiting for the quest dialog to get it over with so you can get to the next objective. I really like BL3, but it does have a lot of caveats.

Mine would be the fact that you can’t sort your inventory by highest sell price. I mean, come on, what were they thinking?!

  • I still go back and listen through the original Arrow Pointing Down/Giant Bombcast up until Ryan’s passing. The age of the content makes it downright historically interesting now for their commentary on game releases.

The chemistry of those guys (Vinny and Brad included) is still untouchable, no one can rein Jeff in and play off him as well as Ryan did, and Ryan is by far my favorite person to ever grace that website and podcast, and rightfully so as it was his child with Jeff. Rest in peace.

  • That “time frozen in '50s American retrofuturistic utopian design” is a fundamental part of Fallout’s lore and visual identity. They could totally go outside that, but it’d be considered a ballsy departure and it’d be a huge chance to get it wrong compared to the safety of the known design.

I’d like to see them do it, but I think there’s too much for them to do within the framework still before trying something like that. A bit similar to how GTA is trapped in America due to how core to its identity American culture is.
