I use Spotify and my Navidrome/Substreamer setup for music. Apple Podcasts for podcasts. I tried Spotify for simplicity but the amount of ads offended me, especially given I have Premium.
Mainly work and driving for music, work for podcasts. Sometimes music at home but rarely for any extended period and if I do, it’s usually a record.
This is good news. Means they’ll leave us alone.
I feel I do that in the reverse order. I listen to future funk stuff and pick the samples. Only really started on Saint Pepsi a few months ago. Though I’ve done alright with Macross 82-99.
I use Last.fm and it’s so weird seeing Tats have such good numbers given how far out of your way you’ve gotta go to listen to his stuff.
Chris Hemsworth. He was on holiday and very quiet, keeping to himself. I was staff aiding with his transport.

It’s probably Lemmy.world
But the beauty of federation is that it’s about the size of the fleet, not any specific ship.
I appreciate acknowledging that the painted lanes are actually something, even if they’re not perfect.
I think the argument of “segregated lanes or nothing” is counterproductive. Yes they are best, but something is better than nothing.
At some point in a car’s life you ask yourself “is this worth getting fixed?”. The answer is often no for minor cosmetic damage and they tend to mount up.

He’s not used to having anyone in front of him anymore.
I’ve got Navidrome feeding Substreamer on iOS. Works pretty well only it has a bit of a buffering lead in if I get skip happy or there’s too many FLAC files in a row.
I just manually feed it on the backend though. Will look at lidarr one day.
Very interested in Azuracast.
That’s ridiculous given there were also four world cups last year across cricket, soccer and rugby league.
I used to work above a guy who had a reputation in the company for not really taking direction well from anyone (hence why he ended up in our section) and he was about double my age.
What I used to do was mention two things that needed doing and ask him which one he wanted to do. Most of what we did could’ve been done by either of us but in letting him pick what he wanted he had more inclination to actually do it. The rapport that came from this did allow me to jump on the few things that I wanted and get minimal backlash because I was fair most of the time.
Treat people with respect and make them feel like their opinions are valued.
If it comes to personal stories and life experience in conversation - try and take a lot more of a listening role and acknowledge their experience. They’ll feel valued in that space which will translate over to respect in the working space.
Thanks for reminding me of points. Since I started using Sonarr I don’t go to the main page anymore to spend them so I forgot.
I’m a big fan of Marie Kondo’s books. Reading them just makes me want to live simpler.
The Little Book of Ikigai by Ken Mogi is another. Gets me thinking about doing what’s important, not doing everything.
They’ll still see upload/download volumes, speeds and patterns. Just not destinations. That alone could indicate torrent.
