Double dosing on ADHD meds might not kill you but it can cause anxiety attacks or even seizures. If it’s an extended release formula then you could be in for a very bad day!

Absolutely nailed the look. I’ve seen so many PhD students with that exact look!
They’re really in a bind though. Indie games are great because there are thousands of indie developers out there making games and we get to play any ones we want. All the indie games that fail don’t matter because we don’t need to pick the winner ahead of time.
AAA studios can’t operate this way because they can’t predict what will be a great game that everyone wants to play. The only leverage they have is that they can afford to hire a large team of artists to create all the graphics.
It’s really the same situation that Hollywood film studios are stuck in and the result is basically the same. Hollywood makes their MCU graphics extravaganzas and AAA studios makes their Call of Dutys.
I’m actually taking a weekly course on model railroading! We have homework involving stuff like modeling terrain with plaster and painting landscape layers! I would not get that stuff done if it wasn’t due at the next class!
Just need a professor emailing you that your crocheted sweater is due tomorrow at 8am!
Right, but I hope we’re able to see the difference between a working person who has investments and someone who earns the bulk of their income from investments. Similarly for real estate.
Because calling someone who works and has investment savings for retirement (such as a pension) “not a working person” is not just plain wrong, it’s extremely offensive, especially coming from a career politician like Starmer.
Sure, class is the big issue on everyone’s minds. But the remedies people often throw around are here indiscriminate enough to target the room-letter and the building ownership company alike. The tycoon and the pensioner alike.
Are you a landlord if you let a room to help you pay bills at the end of a month? Are you a shareholder if you have a pension?
Judging by the answers here, the answer is no. But then we’re talking about millions of people who work everyday factory jobs, retail jobs, or low level office jobs.
For those playing at home, try this:
Heat up a frying pan on low heat and throw some water in there. It sizzles and bubbles weakly but evaporates quite quickly.
Now heat up the pan over medium-high heat. Throw water in there and watch it turn into little marbles that dance around the pan. It seems much more violent but notice that the water marbles last way longer because they’re actually floating on a cushion of steam. This is also why they seem to fly around pan so rapidly: the steam cushion removes almost all of the friction.
This is called the Leidenfrost effect. Very high temperature frying pans actually conduct heat into the water more slowly than lower temperature ones because the steam cushion acts as an insulator.
Well it turns out if you put your hand in molten metal the same thing happens! The moisture on your skin flashes to steam and creates a barrier which slows down the conduction of heat into your skin. Of course, if you fall into molten metal you may not be able to get out. The Leidenfrost effect also doesn’t do anything to protect you from the intense thermal radiation being emitted by the molten metal!
Funnily enough, this also happens if you pour some liquid nitrogen into your hands. It dances around just like the water does in the hot frying pan. Your skin is like a hot frying pan compared to liquid nitrogen and the nitrogen gas produced is like steam in this case.
It’s extremely common for different fields of inquiry (scientific, mathematical, philosophical, etc) to reuse common words. If we had to come up with brand new words for everything in every field then we’d all be speaking gibberish, like they do in medicine!
I appreciate the sentiment but I really don’t want to see a story on the news about some road rage asshole deciding to run over a bunch of cyclists. Your life is worth more than that! There are better ways to change things.
Wow thanks! I’ve seen other instances of this fallacy but never knew its name (nor recognized that it is a common fallacy form).
The real joke is that there’s no difference!
Why, mother, you are an odd fellow but you steam a good ham!
Same story in Canada. A big decline in total farmland (decline of 13.1 million acres or 7.9%) but an increase of 3.6 million acres in crop land. This represents an increase in intensity and density of farmland and a decrease in farmland used for non productive applications.
One of the big differences recorded in this report is a 62% decrease in the number of people living on farms from 1971-2021. A decrease in the amount of farmland used for living spaces (farmhouse, garden, garage) may be a big factor in the above crop:farmland ratio changes, as would a consolidation of farms (total number of farms decreased from 246K to 189K from 2001-2021).
What this all says to me is that economies of scale play a huge role in North American farming, and that our subsidy structures do not favour small farms.
They get more viewers when they do. Streamers do exist who don’t use a webcam, don’t talk to viewers at all, and only show gameplay. They get some viewers but not nearly as many as they would otherwise.
People like interacting with streamers. They especially like seeing the streamer get excited when they donate a bunch of subscriptions or send a bunch of money. Popular streamers will even have animations and sound to make a big deal out of this.
The truth is that full time streamers are supported by a small minority of viewers who donate large amounts of money. This makes streaming somewhat akin to prostitution in my view. But there you have it!
What city do you live in? That makes a big difference in terms of overhead.
You also have to look at culture. Culture has such an enormous effect on people’s psychology and behaviour!
Sure, but that has little to do with virginity. Tons of people lose their virginity in one night stands or bad relationships with forgettable to awful sex. If your only goal is to lose your virginity you’re not on the right path to having a great relationship.
