I forgot to mention that this is the native android app from Google Play. I’ve tried clearing cache, clearing all data, and even reinstalling voyager. I get the same results:

• Log in
• enable embedding external videos in settings
• open the link on the op
• tap the prompt to enable embeds from redgifs
• immediately get “failed to load media”

They get downvotes in the niche subs too because everyone browses Lemmy by All due to lack of content.

The link in the op consistently reproduces the issue for me.

I haven’t opened voyager for a couple days now and the embeds still don’t work. When I first noticed the issue, I hadn’t used this account in weeks.
