I don’t trust a graphic which explains /boot as “system boot loader files”…

Tbf the only Android TV app I’ve used which is actually usable and has not-shit UX is SmartTube. Discovery Plus deserves a special place in hell.
I’m guessing the problem with revanced is the sheer number of projects calling themselves revanced, most of which are probably just malware.
That works. Until you get a cramp in the opposite direction and the same time. It’s the 2nd closest experience to child birth I’ve had. The closest is a cramp stretching from the inside of my foot, up the outside of my thigh, up my back. Nothing but death seems to help.
Definitely fuck them. The largest pro-privacy, entity really, ISP in Sweden had them sued for copyright trolling. I believe that Elsevier in response blocked any Bahnhof-customers. Bahnhof blocked Elsevier traffic with this tenner: http://elsevier.bahnhof.se/.
This was a big deal when working there because Bahnhof had a track record of not honoring requests to give out personal info or blocking any sites. The CEO also secretly recorded the FRA, our equivalent to the NSA, as they were trying to make a deal under the table to be able to spy on customers. There’s even a video recreation (the server he’s holding used to host Wikileaks)!
For more info about the Elsevier stuff: [https://bahnhof.se/2018/11/02/senaste-nytt-bahnhof-blockerar-internet/](here’s an official big post in Swedish).
>uninspired
>lives in an age where horror culture has been greatly inspired by his works
Uninspired is definitely not the right word.
I only have an illusion of choice because I can pick between corn flakes and chocolate cereal instead of corn flakes from a mega corp or locally produced corn flakes?
I have been played for an absolute fool!
(also, this is an non-issue in Sweden, which apparently is not a western country)
How is this a meme?
Yes please. I thought I finally managed to get a proper block list, then this garbage pops up. I’m not sure I’m ready to block memes
just yet, even though it’s mostly politics.
Is it “Emacs pinky” possibly? Emacs is an editor with hotkeys for just about everything and a lot are based on CTRL.
I’ve gotten used to using an Emacs layout and eventually my pinky started to ache too bad so I remapped caps lock to be control and everything is much more comfortable now.
I hate trucks and SUVs with a passion, but I don’t really get the hate here. I could barely fit two Billys in my 2015 Volvo V70, or our new kitchen table and chairs because it was too wide.
I’ll be installing a trailer hitch ASAP when we move because a trailer is always superior to trucks.
That’s not capitalism.
I think you’re reading their comment too literally. I think it’s meant as a joke that the stick is nearing its “EOL”, not the person holding it, but they’re wilfully misinterpreting it.
Let’s say I get sick
Day 1: 0% pay Day 2-14: 80% pay from my employer
Day 15-90: “barely” 80% from Försäkringskassan, up to a relatively low ceiling (disfavours those with high incomes, doesn’t really affect the common worker). With a collective agreement from a union you could also get an additional 10-15%(?) from your employer
Day 90-: pretty much the same, the 10% from the employer is replaced by insurance instead. If you’re sick this long it’ll be a bit of a bureaucratic PITA
Edited to fix formatting
Or because you forgot one very crucial part?
I had that happen to me as a junior. The other seniors weren’t even able to help, so in the end nothing was done. IIRC it was an old python app which the OG author explained the nonsense logic of, but not how to actually run it, or vice versa. Either who the whole project was fucked up
As a new father myself, enjoying a long 6w long paid leave, can’t help but to think S W E D E N, S W E D E N, S W E D E N. With that said, I definitely agree. We didn’t have to consider any of those points as we decided to have our child, only if we as individuals were ready.
Being European, this is very relatable. Everywhere I turn it’s all just US politics.
It’s not wrong, but it feels a bit like some tech articles you’ll see which are obviously just created to fluff up a CV. I wouldn’t say avyttring here is flat out wrong, just kinda… lacking.
But yeah, /boot holds “system boot loader files”, sure, but that’s a bit vague. It should contain your kernel and initramcpio and IIRC Grub also had its config here. That’s pretty much it. I would’ve rather said /boot contains the kernel.
“device files” it’s so vague that it’s almost wrong IMO. At first glaze I would’ve thought that it means drivers rather than, say, “interfaces to devices”
