  • Proper spatial audio, ie not the DSP effect that upconverts stereo, but something like Atmos or DTS:X that’s sending object based audio to an arbitrary number of speakers, does sound better to me on headphones in the few games that support it. The only game where use it regularly that I can think of is MSFS, but it does sound better than headphone stereo. You do have to pay Dolby to use it, or buy headphones that come with it, however. Sounds best on my 5.1 home theater, but also does a good job with binaural headphone output.

  • Any of the big compound medical words are fun to say and construct IMO. Adrenocorticotropic, deoxyribonucleic, those kinda words. They seem big and scary but they’re quite descriptive and once you know the “formula” behind them it’s not too bad. Maybe not the most fun words but I feel good every time I can use one and deploy it like it’s no big deal (ie my mouth doesn’t fuck it up). It’s like executing a big combo with your mouth.

  • I don’t feel Spec Ops: The Line aged well at all. I had it on my to-play list for years and finally got around to playing it. I was rather disappointed in what I experienced. The gunplay and cover system is middling at best, and the story wasn’t anything like the hype led me to believe. Graphics are also way behind its contemporaries. It may have been groundbreaking when it came out in a very pro-war, pro-military time, but it wasn’t anything special by the time I played it 2023. I finished the game wondering what people felt was so special about it. The lack of decision making removed impact from what my character was doing, namely the infamous white phosphorus part. You can’t advance the game without performing the worst possible action, which is the only thing to do at that point in the level. Lame.

Music was good but overall I felt it was a 6/10 game. I think watching YouTube commentaries on the game is much more enjoyable than actually playing it.

  • By no means do I agree with forced arbitration, but so many articles are reporting this partially.

They also agreed to the same clause when buying the tickets in 2023. It’s not just the streaming service ToS in play. Sure gets a lot of clicks saying it like it was though.

Again I think this is all horseshit and forced arbitration can get fucked, but it’s not being reported properly. The Disney+ trial could have not happened at all and the argument from Disney wouldn’t change.

Disney adds that Mr Piccolo accepted these terms again when using his Disney account to buy tickets for the theme park in 2023.
