Made a 5" aluminum baseball bat in high school shop class learning how to use a lathe. It’s been on my keys ever since. Thing is probably older than most folks reading this.

1·5 days agoActiveSync is to Exchange as IMAP/POP3 is to other email providers.
So if you want your email client to speak with an Exchange server you’re using ActiveSync, not other protocols used by other types of servers.
Exchange ActiveSync is a licensed protocol. If any FOSS app handles it for free I’d love to know.

8·20 days agoNeutralize the vinegar after dissolving the corrosion? I’ve not done that, but seems plausible.
Our car has an awful sound system. I swear there are frequencies simply missing, and that transforms music in ways that are impossible to miss.
Or one would think, but my spouse doesn’t care at all. I offered to go through the trouble of upgrading the entire thing – receiver, dsp, amp, speakers, adding a sub – but they said no, why bother? Almost makes me weep when some of my favorites play on the radio.

6·3 months agoPi Hole successfully blocks all that.
Note I have my router redirecting all requests to port 53 (DNS) to the pi hole for those things that don’t obey the DHCP DNS. Not sure if Roku is one of those offenders, but I haven’t seen a Roku ad in years.

3·3 months agoCorrect. The current guy who lost will remain until the final election where his replacement will be voted upon.
Summary: the Maricopa County Clerk, the person who runs elections among other things, lost his primary reelection. While a Republican he was a defender of the legitimacy of the 2020 election. His winning opponent, on the other hand, has been an election denier.
Wow. You’re absolutely right.
I hate this timeline where we can’t trust any news media to not inject baseless politicisation into news coverage at every opportunity. sigh
