To my own surprise I found OneUI launcher very good and with good lock extension I have everything I need. One hand+ is a amazing tool on top of it
As far as I understand, so far stable version is released for beta program participants.
This looks like Samsung merges beta branch back to the main stream.
My only point was, that nova needs a lot of permissions on my device to make its cool features working AND it has access to the internet. So, technically it can collect and upload a lot of user’s data. If/how it does this, is a matter of trust.
And many people lost this trust.
I was referencing usual launchers with a rich set of features. As fas as I remember, one can also disable most of the permissions for no a as well, but this will kill all cool features.
For me, not a loyalty but a reputation. With some brands you have to do a very very deep research to find out if given model is good for you, and still can be surprised in a bad way after a purchase. Others brands are safe choose for 90% of the things and you need to decide for few key parameters only.
And software update speed and quality of course.
This means that around a year ago nova was sold to a data collection company. But nova team declared that this had no impact on the launcher.
this is declared for mostly every company takeover, and very rarely happens in practice.
What to do, is up to you. Many stopped using nova .
A launcher needs a lot of privileges to do its work. I have to trust it that it does not collect/send anything to anywhere.
WhatsApp is already available (without beta program)
Hm… Probably. I read something about chatgpt tricks in this area. Theoretically, this should impact web chat, not Impact API (where you pay for usage of the model).
GPT is a pretrained model, “pretrained” is part of the name. It assumed to be static.
Can one suggest a good explation why? The model is trained and stays “as is”. So why? Does opensi uses users rating (thumb up/down) for fine tuning or what?
Liftoff
I used connect with feddit.de without any issues.
To read “raw news” I prefer RSS.
In the community I personally would prefer to see news posts which come with a comment/opinion/question - something from the author of the post.
Let me guess: you host matrix server yourself, right? :)
This depends. If you prioritize security over usability (like good multi-client, simple migration etc) AND you trust that signal server works as promised - then you can use signal or use secret chats in telegram. Otherwise, telegram is not that bad and even e2ee is not supported for usual chats, the history storage (according to dev claims) is spread over several legal areas what makes it harder for authorities to get access to it.
But this bridge kills e2e encryption? And if you do not care about it telegram and WhatsApp are a better choice.
Google+?! 🤔 Yes, it is hard to find anyone there this days.
