I like to do that with great albums. I’ll listen to the whole thing, just, over and over and over again. Until I’ve got pretty much the whole thing memorized. Then I go on to another one. I’ll only do it that way if the whole album is banging, though.

When the U.S. gives military aid to Israel, the Israeli government is not putting that money in its pocket. The vast majority of the money that the U.S. allocates to Israel each year must be spent on American weapons. That is true, in general, for American military aid to other countries, such as Ukraine.

Those American weapons that Israel purchases are produced in factories across the U.S. So, many American lawmakers have an interest in sustaining that aid because that money ends up flowing into their own states and providing local jobs.

They use taxpayer money to give business to the defense contractors that they’ve invested in. It’s a kickback, to themselves.

indeed. I think it’s emblematic of the corrupting influence of money. When literally every company you can think of is engaging in arguably evil practices, it begs the question, was Marx right?

Marx described Socialism not in any concrete terms, but as the result of revolution against corporate capitalism. When workers decide that they’re tired of evil corporations and wealthy class protecting only their own, and instead return power to the workers via coops and anti-monopolistic regulations. Alzheimers is thought to be caused in part by the buildup of amyloid plaques. That is, misfolded proteins (prions) and other bio gunk that clogs up synapses. Now with evidence showing microplastics are crossing the blood brain barrier, we can expect an exacerbation of alzheimers and it’s symptoms. More and more people will be wracked with dementia at increasingly earlier stages of life.
