I misread, I thought they said anyone listening while on transit not just anyone period. Makes more sense now.

Not who you replied to but I’m sure you don’t blast music or other audio on transit when you need the break.
Maybe not start but I’m sure there’re groups that have encouraged her to keep running over the years. Eyes picture of her at dinner with Putin, other Russians and Flynn who Trump pardoned. Though I’m sure there’re good reasons for her to be in that picture that aren’t shady…I expect a lottery win about the time they make sense.
I bet the award was because he said he won Michigan Man of the Year award so now he has an award from there so he’s not wrong anymore.
He punches down in his ‘jokes’, and laughs at other people’s misery rather than when it’s in good humour. How anyone can vote for a politician that can’t laugh at themselves let alone a good joke is a mystery to me.
Isn’t it weird the Republican nominees don’t laugh like most people?I haven’t watched much of Vance to notice this but since they’re ragging on Harris for laughing I bet that’s a big bullet point to avoid when he’s in public.
That’s Trump’s secret, he’s always entitled … According to his extremely weird brain anyways.
Also isn’t it pretty uncommon for someone to lose reelection for president but be the nominee the next one? Mean most know their official politics days are over at that point so the title isn’t confusing.
As a neighbor to the US the amount of votes he receives is terrifying, I thought the general public was better but learned soon after COVID it was not. No need to worry about your fellow man if he’s dead after all right? Like even if a party wanted to do most of his platform cough heritage foundation it’d at least be more palatable (to understand) than them wanting to vote in someone who wants to loot their treasury and just avoid jail…unless they’re all criminals…huh.
Reminds me of this Penny Arcade
According to Wikipedia a candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win, if no one gets 270 votes then it goes to the other vote. All I’m saying is one avenue I’ve read about is they are trying to have enough people in place to ensure the Democratic candidate can’t get the electoral votes to win to force the house to vote by not certifying their states’s results.
I’m not saying it’s likely or possible, that’s beyond my knowledge of the process so I really have no clue, but that’s slightly different than the VP not certifying the votes though it’s the same end result.
I thought states needed to certify before it got to Congress? This would be not sending any results period so the VP isn’t involved yet. Least that’s my understanding.
I think one idea this time is to have enough states not certify the results to force a vote for president where each state gets a single vote. Since there are more Republican states they vote in Trump. Not sure what safeguards there are against states that decide not to certify even if they don’t have proof, or what role courts play in that scenario.
Most of this isn’t directly related to the comment but it got me typing.
I do like the bit where he said he put the rejection letters on a nail, and it was pretty full, think this was his teen years, probably submitting to pulp magazines. It didn’t seem like any time in his life wasn’t filled with wanting to write, and he kept at it (obviously heh) and used the rejections as motivation to improve. He is a pretty good narrator as well, I enjoyed listening to Needful Things read by him, and have listened to On Writing a few times now.
That man can spin a good yarn, his stories have been a part of my life since I was probably too young to be reading them(not to mention tv and film adaptations) but I was reading at least. Even remember one time getting extra credit for the summer reading program cause I read The Eyes of the Dragon since it was much longer than most kids reading material. I just read whatever and a lot at the time, since no Internet back then.
The Real Ghostbusters was always one of my favorites growing up, or Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters, think they added Slimer (the name to title) later but it’s been awhile. It was on streaming a number of years back, least in Canada. The guy who voiced Venkman also voiced Garfield if I’m remembering correctly.
I’m not sure I’ve heard that one, very similar and awesome. I should read some of him, yes I know very famous just something I haven’t got around to doing.
He hasn’t changed strategies since his 20s I bet. When you’re rich and everything just takes some money to sort out you don’t need to adjust, change is hard in later years. Plus you can see Roy Cohn stamped on him like Roger Stone, all they know how to do is attack but not produce anything. That was half of the Stone documentary on Netflix it seemed.
I do agree but if you wanted to make to case for ‘God’ they could have made sure some of their creatures evolved to understand his work, assuming they did it in a logical way. I’m not a person with faith but just try and think a way is possible, though usually trying to understand weird comic and media universe type actions.
We are the way for a universe to understand itself (paraphrased from Sagan). Though his writing is much more interesting than this comment. I just think there’s room for belief if it works for people, but not for the strict literal interpretations that many seem to believe.
Not entire network of shows is entertainment there’s the 2 hours a day when they give their preferred hosts a break. I don’t really know the hours spent on actual news but I have the impression it’s in low single digit hours. I also assume they put more emphasis on right wing topics during those times, as factual as they may be rather than a balanced news source. If I’m wrong I’ll gladly be corrected since I don’t really watch broadcast TV anyways (corrected typo)
I bet another big reason is that he can hold rallies and get his narcissistic high. Has to be awesome for a narcissist to hold events where people are there just to hear him ramble.
