I actually have the 500DX and went with the Be Quiet’s cooler as well and couldn’t be happier with both purchases.
wip.

The build looks solid to me, with the caveat that I don’t keep up with hardware unless I need to buy it. So, I’m not super knowledgeable about what parts are specifically the best and as to why, but I’ve been on an all AMD linux only gaming rig for a few years now and it works really well. I’d have to recommend sticking with all AMD solely so you have to do less (if any) fussing with drivers. All distros and installs are not the same, but most should have you situated and in a good place.
I’ve been using Plasma 6 and Wayland since Plasma 6 was stable. IMO, you shouldn’t have any issues using Wayland in todays landscape.
I feel this in my bones. Right to the core. Anything important ain’t happening on a mobile for some reason.
This is the cause. Your should be able to override it on a per site basis via the shield button in the address bar.
Depression is tough. Being a good partner during it is really hard. Make sure youre taking care of yourself while you’re trying to help him.
SSRIs are different for everyone and its important to evaluate how they might be affecting him with a professional. Keeps encouraging the therapy!
Alcohol can also affect the way SSRIs interact with their mood. It may provide temporary relief for the tough feelings but it will in, nearly all cases, result in a dependency cycle. It will bring his mood down and have him wanting more to readjust.
I’d ask that he abstain until therapy and meds can be evaluated/adjusted if necessary. Its a tough ask when things are that dark for someone, but it would be helpful to go into therapy with as close to a baseline mood as it can be.
There’s going to be better days and worse days. For him and you. Try to help each other through the next few months. You might be pulling more emotional weight, but don’t look at it that way if it can be helped. Something easier said than done.
Good luck.
Oh I wasn’t aware of Organic Maps. I will check it out. Thanks! I’m in an undermapped area so I can often add sidewalks, addresses, and lighting.
StreetComplete is perhaps the easiest and maybe best way to contribute as it is on rails. Constraining input for newer users is great. If your area is saturated with information I look at that as a win for the open community as a whole, but I understand the desire to add more.
There is SCEE which has advanced features and more editing options but I haven’t explored it yet. I am just happy something like StreetComplete exists to allow me to contribute in a meaningful way without adding garbage data.
Hmm I’ve got a similar setup. TV only on and used when I want it for certain things like rhythm games. Its not a great TV and 4k60 is its max but that seems accurate based on mangohud.
3 monitors: 1 display port, 2dvi Optional HDMI TV.
Check your cable perhaps, but also the HDMI forum sucks and prevented AMDs open source driver (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/02/hdmi-forum-to-amd-no-you-cant-make-an-open-source-hdmi-2-1-driver/ )for proper 2.1 HDMI support. Additionally many TVs have a “gamemode” or low latency mode that might help.
That said if you mean your system itself is struggling and not the display on the TV, I don’t have a clue what it would be.
