If I were to speculate, I’d say it came from the == operator (Boolean equality comparison) and then later, when that was extended to include Boolean less-than-or-equal and greater-than-or-equal, the decision was made to keep them 2 characters long. I worded that pretty poorly, what I was wondering was if there’s any new stuff to do in VR if I don’t purchase Odyssey. I stopped playing pretty early after Horizons came out, before any of the Thargoid stuff started getting interesting.

FPS gameplay is the opposite of what I would find interesting in E:D, so I probably wouldn’t be getting that expansion if I started playing again.
