There’s been some Friday night kernel drama on the Linux kernel mailing list… Linus Torvalds has expressed regrets for merging the Bcachefs file-system and an ensuing back-and-forth between the file-system maintainer.
FAT32 goes up to 2TB. 16TB if you increase the sector size beyond what Windows supports. The only limit you may run into is the 256GiB file size limit. For most installs, it does indeed just work.
