    100%, its incredibly obvious.

No, I was watching the bond market. The bond market is very tricky. I was watching it, but if you look at it now, it’s — it’s beautiful. The bond market right now is beautiful. But, yeah, I saw last night where people were getting a little queasy.”

Hard to believe these are US Presidential quotes. Sounds more like some teenage barista smoking pot.

Yeah, no shit. His first term was 100% him playing golf and using the treasury as his personal piggy bank, why the fuck would we expect anything different this time around? Wake me up when someone actually does something about it.

He made the announcement at 1:18, but there was a high volume spike in SPY at 1:02. He then introduced some friends, like Charles Schwab, in the white house later and said they had made billions. This crash was also the first time MTG bought stocks.

Should be an SEC investigstion with actual consequences for once. Probably won’t be, but there should.

100% he is making bank off this. So are his buddies. What DOGE was all about, setting up the US Gov’t to be fleeced as a cash cow for the crime family. We need these criminals removed and full security audit on our entire gov’t computer system. Every US citizen is currently at risk due to negligence but these fools. That doesn’t even cover the extensive list of civil rights violations and oh…you know, constitution violations. But it matters not unless the are actual consequences. But money makes those go away.

I’ve been saying this all along. Not just about this time, but he has pulled off a similar trade scare every month since he took office, with the same result - he announces tariffs, the market tanks, he rattles his sabre a bit, then pauses the tariffs, and the market rises again.

This has been the third, and biggest one, probably because he needed to make it a big one as he cried wolf for a third time. Which means the next time he does it, it will have to be even bigger.

Its clearly market manipulation, of a type that only president could do, but only if he were corrupt enough.

Unfortunately, if it were only the president who’s corrupt, he would have already been impeached and removed. Even if there were a question about whether he does or does not want to become an authoritarian dictator, ignoring everything that is hinting at it, he is digging himself in the sort of hole that he can only survive in as long as he retains power and I’m sure he knows it.

Point to me the trade wars and civil rights rollbacks that happened during those times. We just had to keep doing the thing and keep pushing the needle towards progressive ideas and socialist policies that help people. That’s ALL we had to do together, it was working for a while.

But nope. Everyone lost their attention spans because social media and russian bots amplifying the worst of all sides of every issue until everyone said “fuck it, I don’t care, I rather see drama than boring, slow, incremental progress.”

edit: I am fully aware of how absolutely wicked Obama was, I don’t care in this context, we were making PROGRESS, even if small amounts, your knee-jerk desire to educate me about how bad the system is on both sides just makes me think you’re not reading and feel entitled to something and you will be blocked. You’re a huge reason we’re in this mess. I’m fully convinced that most of you don’t actually want good outcomes and you just want to feel validated and recognized.

Boring, slow incremental progress is great. Not ideal, but great.

However, a two-party system where one party is ALWAYS a single lost election from the advent or fascism is a democracy too brittle to survive.

Point me to the better alternative and who’s leading it. Otherwise we’re stuck with the systems we have and nobody is going to be perfect, or even “good” in most regards. But I don’t see a choice unless we find a way to destroy capitalism entirely.

US gained the rights to legally murder its own citizens without due process under Obama.

Also loads of giving corporations and capital rights, and rolling back protective anti-investment gambling under Democrat administrations, which ate up the rights of non-capital.

A lot of them are arguing in bad faith or have been brainwashed by the people that do. It is clear people can not only still protest, but protest far better with fewer worries and more effect under the lesser evil. These clowns would be complaining about the US winner-takes-all system of democratic governance if they truly cared, and there was only basically one option where protesting for that didn’t make you a potential deportee to El Salvador prisons.

This is why countries need to make export tariffs in retaliation and leave them on during the chaos. Let the prices of everything in the US soar but allow them to collect none of it.

It is kind of amazing how selective the justice system is. There is a man who spent 30+ years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread. Apparently he had a criminal record prior and that meant he had to be thrown in prison for that long for any subsequent crime… but I find that utter bullshit.

Yeah I am aware of that. Civil religions, political religions, and economic religions.

I remember the first half of the 2000s, back when I went on many atheist sites of the era that scoffed at organized religion and Christianity, Islam, and whatever… but the true bit of depression dawned on me when I realized that not only was the world not being liberated from religion, but other religions were being seamlessly integrated into them, even if those religions held highly contradictory beliefs to the originals…

Arrest his corporate benefactors for insider trading. They’ll find out loyalty is only one way, or worst case scenario pardoning clear criminal behavior goes on record

If the conman-in-chief somehow made himself above every law, above Constitutional checks and balances, we have to start by removing the criminals that enable and support that, or worst case scenario take every opportunity to highlight it to low information voters

He can only flout the law because he has supporters that enable criminal behavior. Remove them and this all comes tumbling down

He is literally and figuratively above the law. He will face zero consequences.
