Not a fan of Faux News personally, but they certainly have a large audience so this is good to see.
I am not one to dismiss the possibility of UFOs being something cool/alien/crazy. But I get the feeling that these congressmen are latching on to this issue because it’s easy. Gives them something “serious” to act all consternated about. They get to furrow their brows on national TV and muse about Very Serious Things™. But conveniently they can’t say anything about it because it’s all so classified. Very top secret, don’t you know. You wouldn’t know her, she goes to another school. Just a fun distraction they dangle out there so that they aren’t shamed for avoiding all the important work they have to do as legislators.
UFOs being seen as serious business in the republican party, that really speaks volumes.
Well then you better not piss them off, huh?
I’m less scared of being vaporized by aliens as I am the human governments of the world failing miserably at diplomacy which leads to the aliens vaporizing me.
I’m sorry daughterofmars I appreciate your good intentions but Fox News is just a launch pad for propaganda and all this article does is spread fear about their capabilities with buzzwords and fear is never productive.
While I agree that it is heavily biased and big on right wing propaganda, I don’t think that is cause to reject anything they report in its entirety. Lots of salt of course, but I think if this issue is to be taken seriously at all, we need to at least listen to all sides of the spectrum. In this case if this congressman is actually involved in this, I am at least inclined to hear what they have to say.
Especially considering Marco Rubio, who is a Republican and much more likely to appear on Fox News, is part of the Gang of 8. Don’t just throw away the information because of the source, verify, and check everything if you think something is invalid.
Forgive me for being out of the loop, but what is the “gang of 8”?
The Gang of 8 is the eight ranking members of Congress from both the House and Senate respective intelligence committees.
