The other thing I’ve noticed is the logic that because Sony ‘are winning’, then the rules should fit to the ($2Tn) underdog so the competition can be fair. Even putting video games aside, it’s really hard to see how that isn’t going down the road of ‘might makes right’ for consolidation in a lot of industries so long as you’ve got the money.
