Young Americans are piling the blame for their student debt balances on conservatives, according to a poll by Generation Lab provided exclusively to Axios.

    Not only are conservatives to blame for the unforgiven student debt, they’re to blame for the cost being so high in the first place.

      Many people may not know why college tuition has risen, but it can be attributed to the decrease in state funding for higher education during the 1980s and 1990s. This resulted in higher tuition costs when the Gen X generation began attending college. As costs continued to increase, Millennials faced significant debt when they pursued higher education.
