Bring back Linux Mint KDE
I am 30 or 40 years old and I do not need this.
Bring back Linux Mint KDE
I just got my Official Autism Diagnosis™️ and I think Yud’s post is gross as hell
Why, uh. Why was that your first thought.
“Just pretend it’s always been Linux” is a bold move. I salute 12-year-old you o7
Changed the gender. Kind a pain in the ass but totally worth it.
Traditionally, Girl Scout Cookies are a once-a-year thing, where people will buy cookies from their local GS troops, who often set up tables at events, stores, parks, etc. But the internet has made it possible to do stuff like this, where you can get your cookies from specific places and maybe send your money where it’s needed more. So for example, Troop 6000 is a GS troop specifically for kids who are homeless in NYC; if you live in a pretty affluent neighborhood and you think your local Girl Scouts are good on money, you could support Troop 6000 instead.
Honestly, if you like Ubuntu but dislike Snaps, Linux Mint might be a better choice than Fedora if you’re not as comfortable with Linux. Mint is basically “Ubuntu without all Canonical’s garbage.”
Not “cheating” per se, but still bad.
Linux Lite. Trying to pare down Ubuntu is a fool’s errand, and they still use snaps.
I use SpiralLinux on my old Inspiron but it’s basically just Debian with some user-friendly tweaks. I guess you could try Tiny Core or Porteus or something really small like that.
Also GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6a. I know it’s ironic but Graphene has worked really well for me.
In the US, the only time you’d have to boil water before drinking in most places is if there’s something wrong with the water system and they put out a “boil water” advisory, and that’s pretty rare. It’s definitely not something you have to on a daily basis. Some people will use water filters but it’s not usually a necessity.
I’ve been using GrapheneOS for a couple years now, both with and without the Google compatability apps. I vastly prefer without, but I’m lucky in that my credit union’s app will function without Google.
