I miss Tumblr porn… nothing will ever be the same.
Yes – I agree, it does work for memes.
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Lemmy much more than I did Reddit. I find it’s overall less toxic and I’m therefore engaging more instead of just lurking.
One criticism, though: I really do not like the communities that use bots to copy over posts and comments from Reddit. I see no value in commenting or engaging on those posts as the original poster is not present for discussion. It’s also kind of weird that the original posters are most likely not aware their post and its comments have been copied elsewhere and may be having further engagement.
Do they really think any house owners, whose homes are worth over $1-2 million, really give a shit about a teeny little fine they have a slim chance of even getting? Most house owners in my area continued on watering their grass as usual. Water meters should be added to all houses and usage billed with prices spiking drastically during drought for usage beyond a reasonable amount. New multi-unit complexes should also have the same.
Good on them!!! I used to work for Starbucks over a decade ago… one store manager was wonderful and a pleasure to work for. Another manager was absolutely AWFUL and treated people like garbage. If the Sbux near me unionized I would be an occasional customer; however, as it is now with how anti-union Starbucks is I haven’t been to any locations in well over 2 years.
What a dingbat. She’s doing the equivalent of smacking the table and it’s just gonna cost taxpayers even more in legal fees. The province has jurisdiction over municipalities… she’s delusional.
And they’re all like shocked Pikachu face when so many workers have taken job action over the last year and a bit. Tax the rich! Create a windfall tax!
This is great!
I’m a Shaw/Rogers customer at home. The Rogers takeover pissed me off – I’ve only ever had awful experiences with them for wireless service. Then, they locked out their workers. Such BS. I wish we had more competition but instead we end up with less, workers are treated like shit, and prices will only increase.
No. It’s awful. The only fast-food coffee I find tolerable is McDonalds.
I love seeing some good news… really lifts my spirits.
