Just guessing, but maybe a 6.4 / 10 customer score. More copies sold than Concord, but not enough to go net positive. It looks polished so I doubt it’ll be overwhelmingly negative, but it just won’t be that interesting to gamers so most will probably just not buy it.

A lot people are liking it because the people who didn’t during the early preview didn’t receive their early access copies.

How small can you make an LLM before it starts having issues with grammar and coherency? I would argue that the bare minimum still would be rather large, and in videogames we’re already using vram for other resources. In a 3D game especially I imagine very little vram is left to utilize.
LLM-powered NPCs will quickly fall out of fashion as people realize they’re literally just talking to chatGPT.
The either forced always-online requirement with privacy violating telemetry for server-side LLMs, or immensely high GPU memory requirements for local LLMs will also cripple their games.
Revenge fork is a weird name for these forks. A fork is a fork, even a tiny change like changing the logo is a legitimate fork.
If anything if the Godot community could stop harassing the fork owners, that would be great. Them receiving harassment is the most ironic part about this, because there is more proof of that than the harassment the Godot community manager claims they faced.
If Mozilla goes under, the main funders (except google) will start funding the librewolf team instead, and they’ll have more than enough resources to maintain the browser since librewolf devs don’t spend 99% of their funding on other garbage unlike Mozilla. Maybe it is about time we hand over the browser to more capable people.

I tend to take a contrarian stance on a lot of things because if it turns out I’m wrong, people will correct me, and I learn something, so downvotes don’t bother me at all.
Yeah, this is what I want. I would be completely fine with a high-spec low-feature phone. No front camera, no gyroscope, no fingerprint sensor. Good enough to run games on or handle smaller LLMs for offline translation and speech-to-text.
I couldn’t care less about the camera because I don’t use social media, and prefer experiencing things without recording everything.
If there is demand for it, there is a reason to do it. I could also see it be a thing if people having multiple phones for different purposes became a thing. For example, I could see a gaming phone as a secondary device be a thing shared in households.
The studio refused an offer by Sweet Baby Inc of a 7m$ consultation. Right after that happened, games journalists like IGN started making articles accusing the studio of sexism. The “evidence” was several anonymous sources (in other words, made up, until at least one of them comes forward) and a few (possibly purposefully) mistranslated quotes that sound sexist in the mistranslations but are at most a little vulgar in the original language.
Even after the mistranslations were debunked, the journalists made no effort to retract or edit their articles, and as of today the only thing they have that could possibly paint the studio in a bad light are these anonymous sources but those cannot be verified and are therefore not valid. They’re likely completely made up.

Yes. This article is one of them. There is no evidence of sexism. Just a bunch of mistranslated messages that once properly translated aren’t sexist at all. IGN has already been called out for this, and the tweets have been community noted.
IGN did actually make a non-apology along the lines of “well they should have just commented on the accusations”, but the studio has no obligation responding to accusation from a bunch of people of some dying medium. Ignoring them is no doubt the best thing the studio can do.
Other journalists have since also made stories covering this and know that the statements are false so they started using weasel wording such as “sexist remarks being attributed to” instead of “they said”. It is so obvious that they’re doing this on purpose to hurt the reputation of the studio.
